Veteran catcher Chris Gimenez signed a minor-league deal with the Cubs on Monday, according to multiple reports.
Gimenez, who played for Cubs manager Joe Maddon when both were with the Rays in 2012 and 2013, was a teammate of free-agent pitcher Yu Darvish on the Rangers in 2014.
